MY IDEA OF HAPPY LIFE
Happiness does not come but we have to acquire it. Different people have different ideas of happiness but idea of happiness totally depends upon what a person has. If a person does not have wealth, he would think that happiness lies in possessing wealth. Another would find happiness in meditation and still others in gossiping. It is wrong to think the one can get happiness by laboring for it. It comes as naturally and as refreshingly as the morning air. But is depends on man as well. One man can be happy with low income while the other may be unhappy with high income.
Work plays very vital role in man’s happiness. I think one can get happiness by enjoying the wrok in hand. If a person keeps himself mentally busy and remains satisfied, he can remain satisfied, he can remain happy. Our high hopes and soaring ambitions often make us unhappy. If a person thinks that every moment is to be enjoyed like every drop of wine left in a cup, he will definitely be happy. He values every moment them.
Satisfaction of this kind excludes envy and jealousy. One should never think of others, happiness, rather one should remain satisfied with what one has. The habit of comparing and contrasting and the desire to become what others are, often leaves a sorrowful heart. It brings problems and misery. It makes man’s life disturbed.
A man can be happy while watching the beauties of nature or going for shopping. One can be happy in catching the butterflies or by looking vacantly at the flying birds. In fact one should find every moment quite absorbing and should always think that every moment is the most important one. He should take as much interest in that moment as is possible. Happiness is a state of mind and not a possession. It is a product of imagination and not of labour. Happiness is to be enjoyed through spirit and not through senses. Man can feel it but he cannot see it. It is the name of man’s inner condition.
A person enjoying peace of mind is the happiest one in this world. If we are hankering after the worldly things and desires we remain unhappy. We should do our duty without thinking of the result. Duty which God wishes us to perform, should be our aim. Such people will not be overjoyed by success or frustrated by defeat. They will leave the result to God. They will only work hard.
In the same way, life should not be the ultimate aim of living. This is a preparation for the next life. Such an attitude makes us indifferent to the death of our near and dear ones. Though this attitude needs a great control over one’s emotions, yet this can afford happiness. Man would not be much worried about the business of this world. They would do something for the next life as well.
Happiness cannot be the special right of the wealthy people. It is not meant only for a child. Happiness can be enjoyed by a common man. It is around us; we are to discover it. A man should tune himself up for it and he will get it. Someone has rightly printed out that happiness lies on busy feet. Moreover a busy bee has no time to worry. If a man is busy in some work, he is happy.
